Bad Bunny’s net worth is about $100 million, according to the widely reported estimate cited by Fortune in February 2026, the week he headlined the Super Bowl. Forbes has not published a full net worth figure for him, but it does track his income: it estimated he earned $66 million in 2025, ranking him the No. 10 highest-paid musician of the year.

That $100 million figure is likely conservative. Since early 2026 Bad Bunny has won the Grammy for Album of the Year, headlined the Super Bowl LX halftime show and wrapped a world tour that grossed about $467.5 million, the biggest ever by a male Latin artist. Updated estimates may move higher once those earnings are counted.

Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio went from bagging groceries in Puerto Rico to becoming Spotify’s most-streamed artist in the world four times. His money comes mainly from touring, streaming and brand deals, with a smaller share from acting, wrestling and real estate.

Annual earnings and tour grosses

Forbes has put Bad Bunny on its highest-paid lists in his biggest touring years. These figures are pre-tax earnings, after paying managers, agents and production costs:

Early life

Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio was born on March 10, 1994, in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, and grew up in the Almirante Sur neighborhood of Vega Baja. His father, Benito, was a truck driver, and his mother, Lysaurie, was a schoolteacher. He has two younger brothers, Bernie and Bysael.

He sang in his church choir until he was 13 and fell in love with salsa, reggaeton and hip-hop as a kid. His stage name comes from a childhood photo of him in a bunny costume he was forced to wear.

After high school he studied audiovisual communications at the University of Puerto Rico at Arecibo, hoping to become a radio host, but he left without finishing his degree. While making music at night, he worked as a bagger and cashier at an Econo supermarket in Vega Baja.

SoundCloud breakout and Latin trap (2016–2018)

Bad Bunny started uploading songs to SoundCloud. In 2016 his track “Diles” caught the attention of DJ Luian, who signed him to the label Hear This Music. Soon after, “Soy Peor” climbed to No. 19 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart.

He quickly became the face of Latin trap. In 2017 he hosted Apple’s Beats 1 radio show Trap Kingz, its first Spanish-language program.

His big crossover came in 2018. “I Like It,” with Cardi B and J Balvin, hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and “Miía” with Drake reached No. 5. On Christmas Eve 2018 he released his debut album, X 100pre, through Rimas Entertainment.

Global superstar (2019–2022)

In 2019 he released Oasis, a joint album with J Balvin, and made the Forbes 30 Under 30 list. In February 2020 he was a guest performer at the Super Bowl LIV halftime show with Shakira and Jennifer Lopez.

2020 was one of the busiest years of his career:

  • YHLQMDLG (February) reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200
  • Las que no iban a salir (May), a surprise collection
  • El Último Tour del Mundo (November), the first all-Spanish album to top the Billboard 200

He was Spotify’s most-streamed artist in the world in 2020, 2021 and 2022. Then came Un Verano Sin Ti (2022), which IFPI named the best-selling album of the year worldwide. It spent 13 weeks at No. 1 in the U.S. and turned Bad Bunny into the biggest touring act of 2022.

His two 2022 tours together grossed about $435 million, according to Billboard, the most ever by an artist in a single calendar year at that point. Forbes estimated he earned $88 million that year.

Nadie Sabe and the Most Wanted Tour (2023–2024)

In April 2023 Bad Bunny became the first Latin solo artist to headline Coachella. That October he released Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

He supported it with the Most Wanted Tour, an arena run across North America from February to June 2024. It sold more than 753,000 tickets and grossed about $211.4 million. In May 2024 he also co-chaired the Met Gala.

Debí Tirar Más Fotos and the Puerto Rico residency (2025)

His sixth studio album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos, came out on January 5, 2025. It mixed reggaeton with salsa, plena and other traditional Puerto Rican sounds, and became a global hit. Its single “DtMF” was the first Spanish-language solo song to top the Billboard Hot 100.

Instead of a normal tour, he announced a residency at home. No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí ran for 31 sold-out shows from July 11 to September 20, 2025, at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan. More than 400,000 tickets sold in about four hours, and the first nine shows were reserved for Puerto Rico residents.

The residency did not publish an official box office total. Some reports put his earnings from it at about $40 million. Its economic impact was much larger:

  • A University of Puerto Rico study estimated at least $176.6 million in economic activity, calling that figure conservative
  • Discover Puerto Rico estimated about $200 million in tourist spending
  • Gaither International put the total benefit to the island at about $733 million

In December 2025 Spotify named him its most-streamed artist globally for the fourth time, with about 19.8 billion streams that year.

Grammys, Super Bowl LX and a record tour (2026)

On February 1, 2026, Debí Tirar Más Fotos won the Grammy for Album of the Year, the first all-Spanish album ever to win the top prize. That brought his career total to six Grammys. He dedicated the award to immigrants chasing their dreams.

A week later, on February 8, 2026, he headlined the Super Bowl LX halftime show, the first solo Latino artist to do so and the first show performed mostly in Spanish. It drew about 128.2 million viewers. Halftime performers are paid only union-scale fees, but the exposure paid off: his Spotify streams reportedly jumped about 470% afterward, and four of his songs re-entered the Hot 100. The broadcast later won several Creative Arts Emmys.

Meanwhile, the Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour played stadiums in Latin America, Australia, Japan and Europe from November 2025 to July 2026, skipping the continental U.S. Highlights by the numbers:

  • About $467.5 million gross and 3.08 million tickets sold
  • The highest-grossing tour ever by a male Latin artist, passing Luis Miguel
  • Eight shows in Mexico City grossed about $86.7 million
  • Ten shows in Madrid drew more than 620,000 fans and grossed about $96 million
  • His career tour grosses passed $1.2 billion

The tour closed with two homecoming stadium shows in San Juan on August 22–23, 2026.

Acting and WWE

Bad Bunny has built a side career on screen. His credits include:

  • F9 (2021), a small role in the Fast & Furious series
  • Narcos: Mexico (2021), as Kitty Paez
  • Bullet Train (2022), opposite Brad Pitt
  • Cassandro (2023), with Gael García Bernal
  • Happy Gilmore 2 and Caught Stealing (both 2025)
  • A voice role in Toy Story 5 (2026)

A planned Marvel-Sony film, El Muerto, was announced in 2022 with him as the lead but was later dropped from the release schedule.

He is also a lifelong wrestling fan. He made his in-ring WWE debut at WrestleMania 37 in 2021, briefly held the 24/7 Championship, competed in the 2022 Royal Rumble and beat Damian Priest in a street fight at Backlash 2023 in San Juan.

Endorsements and business ventures

Brand deals are a steady second income stream. His best-known partnerships include:

  • Adidas: a long-running sneaker collaboration since 2021, with versions of the Forum, Campus and Gazelle that sell out quickly
  • Calvin Klein: global underwear ambassador since March 2025
  • Gucci: face of its Valigeria luggage campaign in 2024
  • Cheetos and Corona: major ad campaigns, including Cheetos’ 2024 grant program for Latino entrepreneurs
  • Crocs: limited-edition clogs that sold out in minutes in 2020

Outside endorsements, he is a co-owner of the Cangrejeros de Santurce, a Puerto Rican pro basketball team, and a partner in Gekkō, a Japanese steakhouse in Miami. His music has been released through Rimas Entertainment, the label run by his longtime manager Noah Assad.

Real estate

Bad Bunny began buying homes in Los Angeles in 2023 and has spent about $17 million on property there, according to reports:

Property Year Reported price
Sunset Strip-area mansion, Hollywood Hills/West Hollywood, California 2023 About $8.8 million
Bird Streets home bought from Ariana Grande, Hollywood Hills 2023 About $8.3 million

He has also rented a luxury penthouse in Manhattan, reportedly for about $150,000 a month, and spends much of his time in Puerto Rico, where he has rented homes rather than buying a large estate.

Personal life

Bad Bunny has never married. He had a long, on-and-off relationship with jewelry designer Gabriela Berlingeri starting in 2017, and he dated model Kendall Jenner in 2023 and 2024.

He has faced two lawsuits over vocal recordings. In 2023 ex-girlfriend Carliz De La Cruz Hernández sued for $40 million, saying her voice was used on two songs without permission. In January 2026 another woman, Tainaly Serrano Rivera, filed a $16 million suit over similar claims. Neither case had a reported final judgment at the time of writing.

He is outspoken about Puerto Rico. He joined the 2019 protests that forced the island’s governor to resign and has criticized U.S. immigration raids, which he cited as a reason for leaving the continental U.S. off his 2025–2026 tour.

Philanthropy

Bad Bunny’s charity work centers on Puerto Rico:

  • He founded the Good Bunny Foundation in 2018 to support children, culture and sports on the island. He said in 2023 that it had given more than $2 million to children in the previous two years.
  • Its annual Bonita Tradición holiday event gives toys to thousands of kids.
  • With Marc Anthony, he pledged about $1.6 million to rebuild 25 baseball fields damaged by Hurricanes Irma and María.
  • Part of the proceeds from his 2025 world tour went to the foundation.
