Search Results Now Feature Ads

More advertisements are on the horizon for Instagram users, as the platform has decided to incorporate ads into search results.

According to Instagram’s blog post, this change is currently in its testing phase, but the company aims to launch it globally in the upcoming months.

The ads will appear in the feed displayed after tapping a post in the search results.

While the announcement did not specify which searches will be targeted, Instagram spokesperson Shenny Barboza confirmed that ads will appear for terms that align with the platform’s community and recommendation guidelines.

Welcome, Reminder Ads

As part of its advertising expansion, Instagram is introducing a fresh ad format called “reminder ads.”

These ads will send push notifications to users, keeping them informed about upcoming events or crucial dates, but only if they choose to receive them.

This new feature aims to help businesses build awareness, anticipation, and consideration for their events or launches.

Users can opt into reminders and will receive three notifications from Instagram: one day before, 15 minutes before, and at the time of the event.

Conclusion: Instagram’s Expanding Advertising Horizons

With the introduction of ads in search results and reminder ads, Instagram continues to evolve its advertising capabilities.

These new features offer businesses increased opportunities for visibility and engagement with their target audiences, allowing them to form more meaningful connections.

As Instagram prepares to roll out these ad formats globally in the coming months, users should expect to see more advertisements throughout the platform.
